MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Music will hold a faculty showcase at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, in Watkins Auditorium on the main campus. Faculty vocalists, pianists, wind players, percussion and chamber groups will play a variety of music. Composers represented include Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Poulenc, Bozza, Jacob, Casella, Debussy and others. Faculty scheduled to perform include Amy Yeung, Robert Mancusi, Elaine Harriss, Jonathan Vest, Delana Easley, Douglas Owens, Kurt Gorman, John Oelrich, Jessie Thoman, Joseph Frye, and Matt Stratton, all from the UT Martin Department of Music. A silent auction, sponsored by the Friends of Music, will take place the same night.Funds raised will assist students with music opportunities, such as workshops, music camps, music conferences and student performance tours.
