UT Martin scholarship deadline nears, application for admission encouraged

MARTIN, Tenn. – Those interested in attending the University of Tennessee at Martin are encouraged to apply for admission. Interested persons may apply online at www.utm.edu by clicking the “Apply Now” link.

First-time freshmen must have a copy of ACT scores forwarded to the Office of Admissions, but ACT scores are not required if the applicant has been out of high school for at least three years. They must also have a high school transcript forwarded to the Office of Admissions. There is also a $30 non-refundable application fee.

The deadline to apply for university scholarships is Feb. 1.

To apply for financial aid and scholarships applicants should fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible.

UT Martin will waive out-of-state tuition for any applicant with an ACT score of 25 or above and a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Students who qualify must participate in the university's Honors Programs.

Potential students may also attend Spring Preview Day at UT Martin where faculty and staff will be available to answer questions about academic programs, financial aid, scholarships, housing and student life. Spring Preview Day is scheduled for Mar. 16.
