|MARTIN, Tenn. – On Feb. 8-10 the University of Tennessee at Martin will accommodate students from numerous universities throughout the state as it hosts the Tennessee Association of Residence Halls (TARH) 2013 Conference.
TARH serves as a catalyst for universities to share ideas on how to improve campuses and programs in the state of Tennessee. Students from Austin Peay State University, Belmont University, East Tennessee State University, Fisk University, Lincoln Memorial University, Maryville College, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee Technological University, Trevecca Nazarene, the University of Memphis, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and the University of Tennessee at Martin will participate in the conference, which will include guest speakers and programing sessions on residence hall issues.
“We concentrate on the sharing of ideas that will benefit those who live on campus including social programming, academic development, forming Residence Hall Associations, environmental solutions, diversity and social justice and more,” said Ryan Martin, UT Martin assistant director of housing.
Schools will present programs on the various issues and will utilize opportunities to network during the conference.
“The University of Tennessee at Martin Office of Housing is excited to be hosting this year’s conference and looks forward to welcoming these 13 universities to UTM,” Martin said.
