MARTIN, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee at Martin Ripley Center will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house Thursday, Feb. 7, to officially open the center’s new 8,000-square-foot expansion. The event will run from 4:30-6 p.m., with the program and ribbon-cutting ceremony starting at 4:45 followed by the open house. The public is invited.
The expansion adds three faculty offices, three classrooms, one lecture hall and a student lounge. The center, located at 315 South Washington Street, was first opened and dedicated Sept. 6, 2007.
A partnership between the city of Ripley and UT Martin made the expansion possible as the city and the university split the cost of developing the space.
