MARTIN, Tenn. – Local officials and business leaders heard presentations from elected officials during the 6th Annual Weakley County Legislative Breakfast held Friday, Feb. 8, in UT Martin’s Boling University Center Duncan Ballroom.
The Weakley County Economic Development Board, the Weakley County Chamber of Commerce, and the university’s Regional Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (REED) Center and Tennessee Small Business Development Center hosted the breakfast.
Weakley County General Sessions Judge Tommy Moore moderated the discussion that included presentations by Ronnie Price, president and CEO of the Weakley County Economic Development Board, Eighth District U.S. Rep. Stephen Fincher, 24th District State Sen. John Stevens and 76th District State Rep. Andy Holt.
Also attending the event were UT Martin Chancellor Tom Rakes, along with city and county officials and members of the media.
Speakers focused their remarks on economic development, job creation, education and the Interstate 69 corridor.
