MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin Faculty Women's Club will host its Women's History Month and Scholarship luncheon at 11:30 a.m., March 19, in room 206 of the Boling University Center on the UT Martin campus. Lin Dunn, head coach of the Indiana Fever, will serve as the featured speaker. In her talk, titled “Keys to Success,” Dunn will share insights into her successful career.
Dunn is entering her sixth year as head coach and has guided the Fever to WNBA playoff appearances in all five of her previous seasons with the team, including a WNBA title in 2012. She is a 1969 graduate of UT Martin, and prior to becoming Indiana’s head coach, she was an assistant coach with the Fever for four seasons (2004-07) and was the head coach and general manager of the Seattle Storm from 2000-2002. Dunn is a native of Dresden and is a member of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame and athletics halls of fame at Purdue, UT Martin and Austin Peay.
The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at the Boling University Center information desk, First State Bank, located at 106 University Street in Martin, or in Dresden at First State Bank and On the Square. Tickets are $13 and must be purchased by March 13.
