Dr. Choong S. Kim, left, UT Martin professor emeritus of anthropology, returned to Korea after 30 years at UT Martin and is now president of Korea Digital University. Earlier this year, Kim and his wife, Sang-Boon, welcomed former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, to Korea along with Dr. Kendall Blanchard and his wife, Connie. Blanchard, former UT Martin vice chancellor for academic affairs, is now president of Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Ga. Kim has created a Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving in Korea, a program that is housed on the Georgia Southwestern campus.
