Summer Orientation

The Adult Learner and Transfer orientation is an effective way to make contact with all the right people, all in one day. For veterans, you will also meet with Johnny Dyer, the Veteran Services Coordinator, who is on staff at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Mr. Dyer will answer any questions you may have about the services provided to veterans, active military, and dependents and spouses of veterans and active military. (If you are starting in the spring semester, please email Johnny Dyer at jdyer@utm.edu to set up an appointment)

Orientation and registration events are held each summer for our students who are entering in the Fall semester.

  • The event is free and students are encouraged to attend.
  • Students will have the opportunity to meet with an advisor and register for their Fall Semester courses.
  • Orientation topics include: paying fees, financial aid (GI benefits), Disability Services, Student Health and Counseling, tutoring and supplemental instruction and other services available at UT Martin.
  • Students must be accepted to UT Martin prior to registering for courses.
  • Fall semester fees are not due at orientation.
