Google Apps Is Now Available
On April 21, official notification of the availability of Google Apps was sent to all current student Exchange Mail users. For those users, Google Apps will become the primary mail system on May 9. It is important to note the change in email address from the current username@utm.edu form to username@ut.utm.edu.
Mail forwarding between the original @utm.edu addresses to @ut.utm.edu will be established on May 9. That forwarding, however, will only be in place as long as a specific student is enrolled or until the following semester after enrollment ceases. As a result, students should use the @ut.utm.edu address for all email correspondence beginning May 9. The @ut.utm.edu address is essentially permanent and will be available for use as long as Google provides hosted email services.
Currently enrolled students and graduates for Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 can immediately begin utilizing the new Google Apps address (username@ut.utm.edu).
