Institute for Civic Engagement - Awards

 

UT Martin's Institute for Civic Engagement awards the following recognitions annually.

The Jim Byford Spirit of Service Award
This award is meant to honor a member of the campus or outside community who has demonstrated the spirit of service through thought and action.

The Outstanding Community Partner Award
This award goes to an exemplary community agency that has worked collaboratively with UT Martin in the past year, demonstrated a reciprocal relationship and understands the importance of service to campus constituents as well as the community.

Faculty Service-Learning Award
This award goes to a faculty member who successfully applied service-learning pedagogy to enhance a class and impact the students and community involved.

Student Community Service Award
This award is granted to a student based on quality and quantity of community service as recorded by ICE in the past year.

Student Civic Engagement Award
This award is granted to a student based on involvement in ICE's civic engagement activities, such as Times Talk, Constitution week, Earth Week, etc., any other involvement and demonstration of the qualities of an engaged student.

Anyone is allowed to nominate. Please use the following form to nominate in any category.  Nominations are reviewed by the ICE advisory group.
