At a glance:


The mission of Army ROTC is to commission the future officer leadership of the U.S. Army and motivate young people to be better citizens.


Why should a student choose the program at UT Martin?


Our core foundation is teaching leadership skills that will help students in whatever field of work they choose.


Are there any special opportunities available such as internships, global travel, etc?


Simultaneous Membership Program with the Army Reserves or the National Guard. Army ROTC Cadets are offered the chance to participate in a variety of training opportunities, typically during the summer months between their sophomore and junior years. Opportunities range from Airborne School to paid travel study and cultural emersion trips around the world.


What can a student do after graduation – graduate school, possible careers?


If a student so chooses, they can have a career as an officer in the United States Army, Army Reserves, or the National Guard in one of several specialties ranging from Infantry and Military Police to Finance and Medical Services.


What kind of student organizations, clubs, or honor societies can a student join?


Fund Raising Activities Group (FRAG), Ranger Challenger, Honor Guard, Color Guard, Intramural Sports


What kind of facilities and equipment will be available to the student?

We have specialized training areas, obstacle courses, repelling, and a shooting range for weapons qualification.
