The mission of the University of Tennessee at Martin Black Student Association (BSA) is to foster a better relationship among students, administration, faculty and staff. It seeks to encourage greater participation on the part of traditionally underrepresented groups in school activities and secure representation in all phases of campus life. Furthermore, the Black Student Association seek to prove a comfortable atmosphere and serve as a focal point and information center for African-American students on the UTM campus. In order to successfully execute these tasks, the Black Student Association remain focused on the needs and wants of African-Americans on the UTM campus.
