OOn Tuesday, May 9, 1970, on the campus of The University of Tennessee at Martin, nine undergraduate women founded the Eta Xi Chapter. They established the first black greek organization on the campus. They had the same vision as their 22 National Founders. Their goal was to promote high cultural, intellectual, and moral standards amongst their members.

... ... and now 34 years later, Eta Xi is still striving with their primary focus to their local community.
