Congratulations Builders Club-Our Kiwanis Builders Club at Martin Middle School was named a Distinguished Club by Kiwanis International for the 08-09 school year.  We awarded them a patch for their banner yesterday.  They earned this by completing all the requirements set forth by international for service to their school and community.

New Club Site- We are attempting to start a new Kiwanis Club in Greenfield.  This will be a summer project with the hopes of putting a Key Club at Greenfield High School this fall.  Do you know someone who would make a good Greenfield Kiwanian?  Let Misty know.

Bring in New Members--
Membership Drive is in the 8^th inning! Score runs for your team by bringing a potential member to a club meeting.  Score a grand slam (4 runs) if that person joins Kiwanis!

Farewell- To members Keith Thompson and Teri Towe.  Keith will be leaving Martin to a new medical clinic in Mayfield, KY.   Teri, a former club president travels with her job so much that she felt she could no longer keep membership with Kiwanis.  We wish these 2 the best.

PAY IT FORWARD- Our board voted to give each service leadership club $100 which they will in turn match and find a worthy cause for their money.  Today we will hear reports on how they used their funds

May Board Meeting--Voted for $250 to PALS Support Group supporting families of disabled children.  Approved Leave of Absence for Frank Black & Sheryl Sebring. Approved resignations from Keith Thompson and Teri Towe.   Set dates for Christmas Break.  Monday night, December 21 Kiwanis Christmas Dinner.  The Club will be off 23^rd Dec through Jan 5^th…. 1^st meeting Jan 6th )  Voted for AED for MES (this will complete AED in Martin) and approved plaques for each AED that say the AEDs are donated my Martin Kiwanis.  Discussed International and District Convention Attendance encouraged.
