Relay for Life

If the K- Family Relay for Life effort is to be successful, we need everyone to raise some money for this worthy cause.  Supplies will be available Wednesday on a table outside our meeting room.  Or let me know what you need.  There will be a Relay for Life meeting at the Southside Baptist Church's pavilion at 6:00. Everyone welcome.  Evelyn

Help your team raise money.  The following supplies are available:

$1.00 – Stars

$5.00 – luminaries

$5.00 - boards to break.

Club Elections

The Nominating Committee will announce the slate of officers and board members for the upcoming club elections.  The slate will be announced next week and the elections held on May 12.    Thank you to all members who agreed to be nominated for a leadership position.

Annual Governor Visit to District

Governor Richard Wood’s visit to Tennessee is scheduled for May 6 – 8 at Pickwick State Park.  This is our annual get together for Divisions 1A-1B-1C.  There will be an informal get together on Friday evening, various events and tournaments on Saturday, a Saturday evening banquet, and a prayer breakfast on Sunday.  Members may attend any and all events.  Registration is $35 for the entire weekend or $30 for Saturday only.  Spouses/guests are welcome.  Special rates are available at the lodge for the weekend.  If you plan to attend the Saturday evening banquet, let your officers know if you are interested in attending and we may carpool down to Pickwick.

The Pickwick Landing State Park Inn has 11 rooms left on Friday night, and 60 rooms left on Saturday night.  They will still honor the Kiwanis rate, though time is running out, so book your room ASAP if you have not already done so.  Their phone number is (800) 250-8615.  We still have less than 30 people registered to attend, so please continue to press your members; the event is only 12 days away.

Thought for the Week
