Board Meeting Minutes

The Board of Directors met Thursday, July 7, for their monthly meeting.  Nine members were present.  The secretary and treasurer reports were presented and approved.  The administrative account has $7,828.14 and the activities account has $11,619.98.  A letter of resignation was received from Dan Tracy.  A Leave of Absence was granted to Maggie Hampton for July thru August.    Evelyn mentioned ideas for the Circle K club for this Fall.  Bill Austin stated that Sideline Physical Therapy and Ken Tenn Sports would be sponsors for this year’s 5K Soybean Roadrace.  The board voted to fund $250 each toward registration and lodging for Misty Menees, Evelyn Blythe, Frank Black, and Linda Ramsey to attend the District Convention.   The DARE program was discussed.  There is interest in seeing if this can be taught in the Martin schools.  Steve Lemond will check with Police Chief David Moore about the DARE program.

Medical News about our Members

Margaret Weaver continues to be in Baptist Hospital in Memphis.   Maggie Hampton has had knee surgery.  Please keep Margaret and Maggie in your prayers.

New Member
