New Statement

 The LAMISSTENN Board made a recommendation at the recent district convention to strongly suggest that Kiwanis Clubs include the new defining statement in their weekly meetings just after you do the prayer, song, and pledge.  We have a new public relations firm that is attempting to help us market Kiwanis better by sharing what a wonderful organization it is.  The statement can be found on the back of your bulletin.

BBQ Tickets Have Arrived

Tickets for our annual delivered BBQ lunch were handed out last week.  If you have not received your tickets, see John Overby.  Money and ticket stubs with addresses are to be returned to John Overby also.  The date for our fundraiser is Friday, Sept. 23.

Volunteers Needed

Teri Towe asked last week for members to help with the Middle School Builder’s Club this year.  Not only this club, but ALL of our sponsored clubs need members to help volunteer their time to help direct these clubs.  Please don’t rely on just one or two members to do all of the work!  Our sponsored clubs are:  UTM Circle K, Westview HS Key Club, Middle School Builder’s Club, Elementary School K Kids, Aktion Club, and Cub Scout Pack 37.    WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

New Member

Last week, we inducted Oran True as our newest member.  Oran is the Fire Chief for the City of Martin.  He comes to Martin from Indianapolis, Indiana.  Oran and his wife, Cindy, have four daughters.   Welcome Oran to our club.   Thanks Keith for bringing Oran to our club.
