Board of Director’s Minutes

The Board of Directors met last Thursday for the April meeting with  9 members present.  Our club has 45 members, 42 Active and 3 Senior Status.  Keith Carver was approved for membership in the club.  The Builder’s Club will move their club meeting to 7:30 am instead of during the morning classes.  Steve Lemond, Sue Laskey, and David Spencer spoke to the Mr. Robinson’s Marketing class about the Martin Kiwanis Club and answered student questions.  The presentations will be reviewed April 26 – May 1 by a committee of club members.  The winning presentation will be our program on May 3.  A nominating committee is being formed to gather a slate of officers for next year.  The BBQ lunch fundraiser has been set for Sept. 29, 2006.

Montreal - Kiwanis International Convention

The registration deadline (before the fees increase) is this Saturday, April 15, to attend the Kiwanis International Convention in Montreal.  After Saturday, the registration fee will increase to $175 per member and $125 for spouse/guest.  Currently there are 32 members and 15 spouse/guests registered from our District.  Dates for the convention are June 28 – July 2, 2006.
