Board of Director’s Minutes

The Board of Directors met last Thursday for the May meeting with 9 members in attendance.  Current club membership is 46 members ( 43 active members, 3 Senior Status).  Teri Towe will be a club sponsor for the Builder’s Club next school year.  The PR Campaign was discussed.  Frances Bynum, Bettye Giles, Misty Menees, Charley Deal, Steve Lemond, Michele Siler, and Sue Lasky were appointed to a committee to study the PR campaigns and develop the campaign the club would use.  The Board voted to pursue the civic club sign proposed by one of the winning presentations.  Misty Menees will contact the other club representatives and followup on this project.  The Board received information from Dennis Suiter about prices of mulch needed for the Kiwanis playground at the park.  A motion was passed to fund the purchase of one load of mulch.  A nominating committee was named to gather names for club elections for the upcoming year.  A report on the Kiwanis Governor’s visit to our area was made.  The weekend was a huge success.  Thanks to Linda Ramsey for all of her hard work and to those who help Linda.  Mary Ann Baxter is coordinating the sale of luminaries for Relay for Life for our club.

Update on Linda Ramsey

Linda should be released from Baptist Hospital in Nashville today.  She wants to thank everyone for their cards and phone calls.  Continue to keep Linda in your prayers.

Aktion Club

The Aktion Club will meet May 23 at the Trinity Presbyterian Church.  Beginning in June, Aktion Club will meet only once a month during the summer.  They will be meeting one week earlier in June, in order to finalize Relay for Life Activities.  They are really selling the tickets for the autographed basketball.
