Thank you to the Aktion Club for putting Kiwanis stickers on the sacks for Friday’s lunch.
Congrats to Westview teacher Pam Harris and advisors Michele Siler and Pete Bukevich for signing up over 40 new Key Clubbers!!
Thank you to Steve Lemond for years of putting together the club bulletin. The job has been turned over to President Elect Misty Menees. You can email items for the weekly publication to mmenees@crunet.com

The five civic clubs in Martin have agreed to a joint project. Each club will be donating about $200 each towards the purchase of a lightening detection system for the Martin Recreation Complex. The system will be able to warn ball players of lightening strikes in the area up to 25 miles away. That way, the fields can be cleared and our kids and spectators will be safe.
Don’t forget to pick up a copy of the Weakley County Press this week to vote for your “Weakley County Favorites.” A special readers choice publication will follow in October. Among the categories is Favorite Civic Club. Kiwanis events and members made the paper last Thursday and yesterday.
A date and theme have been chosen for the Martin Christmas Parade. “Santa’s Winter-Wonderland” is the theme and the date is the traditional Monday after Thanksgiving, Monday November 27th. Incoming President-Elect Frank Black will coordinate this year’s parade.
