FREE Bone Marrow Donor Drive

Each year, 30,000 people need a bone marrow transplant just to survive. Only 30% of those will have a family member that matches. The rest must search for an unrelated donor. The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) attempts to match these patients with donors. The NMDP keeps a registry listing those who have been typed, therefore you need only be typed once.
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. UTM Boling University Center ROOM 229 JOIN THE NATIONAL BONE MARROW REGISTRY BY SIMPLY GIVING A CHEEK SWAB.

Kan Kounting

Kiwanis members will be helping count and sort canned food donations again this year during and after Santa’s Village.   According to Dennis Suiter, one to two Kiwanis members will be needed during the event itself to pre-sort and count donations as they come in.  Then on Monday after it’s all said and done, we will be working on a final count and dividing for the agencies.  Many hours of help will be needed.  Please sign up on the sheet today to assist.

Volunteers Needed

The CE Weldon Library will be hosting “It’s a Big Big World” for kids on Monday December 11th and Monday December 18th.  Volunteers are needed from 2:45 until 4pm to assist.  Please email Sue Lasky at slasky@utm.edu if you can help.
