Membership:

55 (53 Active, 2 Sr. Status)

Leave of absence granted: SK Airee (July1 – Aug. 31, 2007)

Motion to approve Earl Wright for Sr. and Bill Austin (contingent on his formal request) for Sr. Status

Old Business:

Summer Arts Camp: Barbara Jones gave a presentation on the proposed camp for 3rd week in July 2008. The camp consists classes for the following: drawing, painting, music, clay, photography, weaving, drama, writing, storytelling. The cost is $30/child. The ages are from K-6. This program will be held at Dresden Elementary (pending approval). We tabled this discussion until treasurer is present.

New Business:

New Member Fees: no new member fee until Oct.1, 2007

women who join our district between now and Oct. 1, 2007 will receive a pin.

PR Committee: updating tri-fold brochure

Nominating Committee: assist. Secretary and assist. Treasurer to be voted on by club.

Congratulations to Bascom Allen, from Starkville, Miss., who was elected to a 3 year Term as International Trustee. Bascom will represent us well.  Mr. Allen spoke to our club last month.
