Kiwanis Regional Conference
Lambuth University
Jackson, TN
This is the former Mid-Winter meeting that only a few of us ever got to
attend. They were usually in Louisiana! Now, its just a one-day event. Only $30 registration. And right down the road. Let’s all put this on our calendar and make
a strong showing for our club.
LA-MISS-TENN Kiwanis Update
You Kiwanis district is hard at work with many
projects including the 1-2-3 You Hold The Key Growth Initiative. Growth for all clubs is not an option, is
pretty much mandatory if we plan to exist 10 years from now.
--AED project is off and running. A
DVD will be shown to all clubs in the near future to answer many of the
questions most Kiwanians have about placing AED’s
in our schools. You can also learn
more at the Regional Meeting in February. --The LA-Miss-Tenn district is also working on a Disaster Response plan should another disaster
strike our region. It would be a way
to communicate so that we could find out that we (Kiwanis members) are all OK
and where help is needed. This is in
response to Katrina where we lost a great many of our Southern LA & Miss
clubs. Some members have never been
located. L
Linda Shields Update
Linda got a good doctor's report on Monday. Her
cancer was stage one, they feel that they have
gotten it all, so she won't have to have any treatment. She will just have to
go every 4 months for testing to make sure everything is okay. |
