• Event Relations - a committee with three branches.

  • Corporate/Business Relations – committee is in charge of both informing and attaining sponsorships.

  • Family Relations – a committee assembled to make children and their families an integral art of LBDM, be a liaison between the LBDM committees and the Miracle Families, and hold a reception to kick off LBDM.

  • Media Relations – a liaison between Le Bonheur Dance Marathon and local media outlets such as newspapers, radio, and television stations. Committee needs to inform the university and the community.

  • Event Development – committee assembled to plan, organize, and coordinate events for LBDM. This committee interacts closely with the all other committees.

  • Catering – committee that will provide and prepare food and drink for all LBDM meals and snacks. Will work cooperatively with Corporate/Business Relations in soliciting of food and beverage donations.

  • Morale – committee that will design or coordinate activities, games and multiple dances to keep dancers cheerful throughout the event. Recruit a committee of morale captains who will share the enthusiasm and excitement for LBDM with all the dancers while keeping dancers comfortable and dancing.

  • Dancer Recruitment & Communications – committee that is actively involved with the recruitment of dancers and is a liaison between dancers and Le Bonheur Dance Marathon.

  • Entertainment – committee assembled to create and manage the LBDM schedule; recruit DJ’s and local talent; regulate volume to excite dancers and combat fatigue. Committee will work closely with Campus Recreation, Student Activities Council and Event Development.

  • High School Recruitment – committee that is responsible for informing, recruiting, and involving local juniors and seniors from local high schools. This is a very important committee and requires knowledge of UTM as well as the greater Northwest/West Tennessee area. This is a recruitment and retention mechanism for our university. You are ambassadors for UTM and LBDM.

  • Letter Campaign – committee that will be in charge of the mailing of letters to family and friends of dancers and committee members. Will involve focused and precise organizational and tracking skills.

  • Executive Chair/Secretariat – responsible for keeping focus within all aspects of LBDM committees. Overseer of logistics. Will also serve as the keeper of minutes and records.

  • LBDM Advisor – a person that leads, but does not do your jobs; provide leads for potential sponsors; provide information concerning possible Miracle Family candidates; assist to create sense of good will with the hospitals and community. Will advise on any necessary matters within LBDM.
