Spring Initiation and Banquet

 

During the spring semester (usually in April), Chapter 127 of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi holds a major event: the initiation ceremony and banquet. Selected juniors, seniors, graduate students, and faculty members are welcomed and initiated as new Phi Kappa Phi members, and officers for the upcoming year are installed.

Following the ceremony, a banquet is held for new members, their guests, and other Phi Kappa Phi members. A speaker is carefully selected each year to present the banquet address.

Banquet speakers have included distinguished professors and administrators, members of local and federal goverments, and successful business men and women. The banquet speaker for 2010 will be acting UT President Jan Simek.
