Writing Workshops are offered twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:15 - 12:50 p.m., and cover a specific writing topic. To see a list of workshops offered this semester, please click here.

Computers

The writing center is equipped with six Dell computers with two floppy drives, a scanner, and access to a networked printer. Tutors and student assistants are available to help students with word processing and Internet research, including the use of electronic databases.

Roundtable Discussions

Roundtable discussions allow UT Martin students and faculty to get involved in interactive workshops. Celebrating Black Writers, Women's Writers, and Recognizing Campus Writers are some of the types of roundtables offered in the Writing Center. Please check the list of workshops for specific semester offerings.

Talk Time
-
Talk Time is designed to give second language speakers an opportunity to practice language skills, but this activity is open to any student who is interested in improving language skills. Talk Time meets every Monday and Wednesday from 2:00-2:50 p.m., and is led by Sam Stephens, a senior English major.
Orientation Sessions
- Any faculty member who would like a class orientation session in the Hortense Parrish Writing Center should schedule the session through Anna Clark or Jenna Wright, the center coordinators.
