WLJT and other television broadcasters – commercial and public – are moving from conventional TV broadcasting to all-digital broadcasting. In fact, you can already receive and watch WLJT's digital channels with an antenna and a TV set equipped to process the higher picture and sound quality of
digital television.
You will be hearing a lot about digital television as stations prepare to broadcast digital only signals beginning February 17, 2009. Some of what you hear may be confusing, perhaps scary, and possibly untrue.

You can trust WLJT to give you the straight story on the switch to digital television. We will help you separate fact from fiction.
Some people see the change to DTV as a chance to sell you something – to consider subscribing to cable or satellite services, or to purchase a new television set. You will make better choices if you have the basic facts about what (if any) changes may be needed to TV sets in your home.
In the digital TV world, the programs you’ve come to expect from WLJT will still be available. |
| And WLJT will still be free to everyone! As part of America’s only network of community owned, governed and operated television stations, WLJT will continue to provide West Tennessee with the unique mix of entertaining and thought-provoking programs you love. |
