Your converter box hooks up similar to your VCR or DVD player.

On the back of your digital converter box you'll find two connection styles - antenna (coax) and RCA (video/audio)

Which ever way you choose to use the box, it must be hooked up to an antenna.

The antenna-style hook up is very easy.

First - attach the coaxial cable from your antenna to the "Antenna (RF) IN" connector on the back of the box.

Then - using another coaxial cable, connect one end to the "Antenna (RF) Out" connector on the back of the box, and the other end of the cable connects to the "Antenna (RF) In" connector on the back of your television set.

To include a VCR or DVD recorder, connect the coaxial cable from the antenna to the "Antenna (RF) In" connector on the back of your player.

Using your second coaxial cable, hook one end to the "Antenna (RF) Out" connector on the back of your player, and the other end of the cable to the "Antenna (RF) In" connector on the back of your television set.

With this hook-up, you can only record the program you are watching.

To record one program while watching a different program, the television set and the recorder must be hooked up to separate converter boxes.

Using the video/audio (RCA) connectors is just like hooking up a VCR or DVD player.

After you connect the antenna cable to your converter box, connect one end of your video/audio cable(s) to the connectors on the converter box. Connect the other end of your cables to the video/audio "INputs" on your television set.

Be sure you connect video to video and audio to audio. On most appliances, yellow is used for video (picture), red and white for audio (sound).
