The West Tennessee Writing Project is located in the Department of English and Modern Foreign Languages at The University of Tennessee at Martin. It is one of over 200 sites of the National Writing Project.
The purpose of WTWP is to improve writing and writing instruction in West Tennessee schools, K-16. WTWP operates under these principles:

News Young Writers' Clubhouse Dates are set for 2011-2012 with new location in Parsons. David Brandon Young Writers' Scholarship --- Summer Institute 2011 was a huge success with 11 teachers earning 6 hrs of graduate credit in English from UT-Martin. Teachers came from Gibson, Lauderdale, Obion, Shelby, and Weakley Counties. And check out our new blue shirts!
