STEPHANIE RYAN is currently serving as both Program Director and as News Director—a task she says keeps her very busy, but one that’s also very rewarding.   She has also worked in Support and Development at WUTM.  A native of Clarksville, TN and a communications major, Stephanie spent last summer in the newsroom of WTVF News Channel 5 in Nashville, TN, where she got hands-on experience writing, editing, and reporting.  By the fall, the TV news bug was biting again, so she continued her career as an intern at WPSD, News Channel 6 in Paducah KY.  Stephanie has also worked as Weekend News Director at WLZK/WMUF/WHDM Paris. She loves life and laughing, and will pursue a career as a television reporter when she graduates in May.   “I remember loving to watch 20/20 even when I was just learning to read, and I always ask, ‘why?’ ” she says, “so I’ve had the journalism bug for a while.” In her free time, Stephanie enjoys road trips, spending time with her friends and fraternal twin sister and loves to play practical jokes.

Stephanie was ranked No.2 Best Television Journalist in the SEJC Best of the South competition 2007.
