    In Williams', "Red Wheelbarrow" I believe he is referring to a farming lifestyle. He says so much depends upon a red wheelbarrow because everyone's life used to depend on the practice of farming. It used to be the primary occupation. Now this poem seems out of date and foolish because farming is not as prominent as it once was.
