The poem "Volcanoes Be in Sicily" by Emily Dickinson seems to compare a volcano to people who are associated with the poet. She first states that volcanoes are in Sicily but yet they are near where she is at the present time. The author is at home. Maybe she is trying to say that things are very unpredictable at home and situations could erupt at any given time.
