    I like "The Fish" by Elizabeth Bishop. It tells the story of an ordinary fishing trip and how the man observed the fish he caught. He saw many fishing lines that had been jerked left in the fish and called them a beard of wisdom. I think the man in the poem compared the struggles in the fish's life to the struggles in today's world. That is why he let the fish go.
