In the poem "Reapers" on pg 760, the poem tells the story of a field rat who has been cut by a reaper. I got a vivid image of a innocent bloody rat laying helplessly in the freshly cut weeds. I usually don't feel sorrow for rodents like this but this poem made me actually see and feel the rat's pain. It also showed me that life goes on no matter what happens to you, even if you are only a common rat.
