    In Conrad's HEART OF DARKNESS, the narration and nightmarishness seem very much like "Rime of the Ancient Mariner". A major difference is that I don't see a definite moral in HEART OF DARKNESS. What is the purpose of the first narrator who is a fellow seaman? What is the meaning of Kurtz's cry "The horror! The horror!"?
