    By the end of "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" we know that the person behind Gawains misery is actually Morgana.If Morgana is so bent on bringing about the downfall of the Knights of the Round Table, why doesn't she have Gawain killed anyway to add to Gawain's, Author's, and the other Knight's humilation? This would leave one less Knight to deal with.
