    Vaughn's comments remind me of a Public radio program I heard a few weeks back. The radio story was about growing up politically as an African American in Atlanta in the early part of this century. As I reflect back on what I heard, I could have difficulty distinguishing those conditions from what I saw, heard and read about life in Chicago in the 60's and 70's. So maybe, the South is not as different as some of us would like it to be.
