    It seems to me that candidates in elections of the south tend to get votes because of favortism or from where they originated. As for women being "good ol' boys", I think that the south is really not liberated enough to allow women a spot in southern polotics. Also with blacks, the south is full of racists that do not want to see blacks in polotics because they don't want to see a black with higher power than them.
