Like, Meagan I do not consider myself as up to date as I should be on the political arena, but after reading most of the comments which have been submitted, I find myself agreeing with those of Tameka Davis. She stated that she believes even though women and minorities have come a long way that we still a very far way to go on our journey to realizing full equality in the political world. There are many powerful, brilliant women in our society today who have all the capabilities males do in regards to what we can contribute to society. Yet, we look on C-Span and view the workings of Congress, and what do we see? A room, representative of our nation that is composed in the majority by white males. If we consider ourselves to be such a future-thinking, unbiased society, then I ask, where are the women and where are the minorities. Their thoughts, ideas, influences, etc. are just as needed as those of white males. Who knows? They may bring some new facet to the world of government that it desperately needs and has not discovered yet.
