The confederate flag....hmmmmm. Controversy, controversy. I'm a good 'ol Southern boy (well it's not like I've got a monopoly on being a Southern boy, quite a few of us here are! ) So I will begin. I fly the flag in my yard at home *yipee* and I'm proud of it. But I also fly the American flag. How many people that will read this can say that THEY fly the American flag in THEIR yard? I thought not. Anyway, *ceasing for now my inflammatory comments* I will submit to you the top ten reasons (in my disturbed mind) that the Southern confederate flag is the best thing going nowadays. 10. It goes well with any ensemble, providing it's properly hemmed. 9. It's red, white and blue too! 8. It comes in Kevlar, for all those neighborhoods that just don't appreciate it for some reason. 7. The Indians don't mind it at all. 6. It's useful to scare away all the unwanted John Cheeses. (uh, that would be Yankees) 5. When washed in color safe bleach, it looks as new as the day you got it. 4. It can be reused as Christmas paper. 3. Some say 'ol Chris Columbus's sail kinda resmbled it. 2. It's the warmest blankie I've ever slept under. 1. It's smart, it's funny, but gosh darn it, some people still don't like it! *footnote 1 the usually "go with the flow" Nick Wilson has just created a tad bit of controversy. Hopefully.
