    I feel that the confederate flag is a symbol of a time that has been and the dreams of a part of the country. The flag is part of our heritage and holds great meaning to many Southerners. The problem comes when many ignorant people fly it for the wrong reasons and just to be cool. I am also going to address about a female being a politician in the south. I believe that it is harder in the south for a woman because of the very traditional views held by many people. This is changing, but it is changing very slowly. Many people to this day cannot see a female as the leader of our country and believe that she cannot make life and death decisions. I feel that there should be even more woman in politics because that gives a different look to congress and to the decision making in our country.
