    Remember, humor is based on impressions. I am not from the South so some of what I find "funny" might be more apporopriately viewed as just out of ordinary from what I am accustommed to. I find the emphasis on beauty contests FUNNY. Why would otherwise mostly reasonable adults subject their children to these things. Maybe it is because they, the parents, still want to play with dolls. Putting on lip stick before you eat breakfast or take out the trash is funny. Big Hair is funny. Hot humid weather is not funny. When I first came here I thought umbrella were funny, wow was I wrong.
