I have lived in the south all my life and I do not know of any better place to live. To me our accent does not sound funny, yet when I stop and think of some of the sayings that come out of our mouths, we sound really uneducated to others. Other people must think some of us were raised on a farm. When I catch myself saying phrases like "you ount to?" and "ya'll" I have to laugh because they aren't even words! No wonder english is the hardest language to learn. Maybe one day we'll start talking a little more normal.
