I think that segregation in the South will never change. I never really understood why that is but at the high school I attended, all of the whites sat on one side of the gym and all the African Americans sat on the other side of the gym during a basketball game. I guess it was just in the way that we were brought up. Another thing that I think will not change is our southern accent. People always know where we are from. They always guess Tennessee or Mississippi. Farming is a big issue in the South. I don't think that will ever change because there will always be a need for cotton, corn, and soybeans. Farming is what the South is known for. In every town you see tractors or some type of farm equipment going down the road. You also see cows and horses grazing in fields off the side of the road. People in large cities think this is just amazing because they have never seen anything like it before. The South is known for its farming and southern accent.
