I believe that "Southern Hospitally" is something that will remain a trademark for the south. I once heard a story about a southern man who visited New York. He was stopped by a women in the mall and was asked if he was from the south. The southern man replied, "Yes, ma'am!" Then he asked her how she knew that by just looking at him. The women said that she had been watching him as he passed people throughout the mall. She had noticed how he held the door for women and spoke to partically everyone that he passed. The lady said that's something you rarely see in the north. Southern Hospitally is here to stay. It is something that is indirectly taught to us throughout our life. Changes will occur in the 21st century just as they have in the years past, however, southern hospitally and some traditions will not.
