In my opinion, one of the worst things that is about to happen to the South, is the duck hunting situation. There will come a day very soon when only the richest people will be able to hunt on any lake or river. For instance, thirty years ago Reelfoot Lake supported well over 500 duck blinds. But now, there are about 200. A person will have to pay to be guided on a hunt or lease land to get to duck hunt. This is a shame because there is a lot of heritage and tradition in the South when it comes to hunting. The people of my generation will not get to see some of the things that even my older cousin or uncle have seen. This has happened just happened in the last 15 or 20 years, but that just goes to show how fast things are changing. To all of you hunters like myself, good luck.
