    I believe that the South will remain the virtually the same as long as Southerners remain the same. I think Southerners in general are more stubborn than most people, and that stubborness will ensure that the South does not die. Most people in the South are proud to be Southerners. Southern pride has carried the South through many periods of economic and emotional upheaval. People are the heart of any society, and the South is no exception.
