I think what is mostly changing in the south is the arise of so many hispanics. Not only is it arising in the south but around all of the United States. To me that is a very good thing. Not only do we have a lot to offer them, but they have a lot to bring to us as well. They bring a whole different world to us. Sometimes it seems strange when we do things different. I can only imagine how it is to have to adjust to a whole new lifestyle. It is also important for them not to drop their religion or morals when the come. Some of the things they do also have affects on our lives. On Tuesday night I was listening to one of the speakers who was hispanic, and he said some things that make you appreciate the south. He was bragging on how well the people treated him and I thought to myself, is this the same place we're talking about. It's just amazing how people can appreciate someplace they aren't from, but you can't find anything good at all to say about where you are from. I guess you only appreciate something when you only get less of it. Personally, I believe that hispanics are having a great influence all around. They are rising in Academics and Business as well. Now days it seems like every kind of business is either owned by a hispanic or either run by one. If they didn't know that the business was a successful way to go, they were smart to make that move. I also think that football will forever be important in the south. It's just the drama, I mean it's the entertainment that keeps us all alive. Football is more popular now than it's ever been and I believe it's getting even more popular. I don't even understand the game, but for some reason when I'm there I always find myself yelling or cheering. I think to myself, if I don't understand what is going on or what has went wrong, why am I yelling. I just like to express my feelings that I have and since it's a football game no one gets mad at you for jumping up or down, it's when you're not people find you strange. Football will forever be a
tradition because it makes the people feel apart of what's going on. Overall I enjoyed some of the events that took place this year at the Southern Cultures.
