I think that there will definitely be some changes in the South during the next millenium. Everyone will have to change to keep up with new technology. The South has always been known for its agriculture. The South is one of the most beautiful parts of this nation with its open fields and rolling farmland. However, fast-growing populations and the need for more housing may soon replace a lot of the beautiful farmlands. Many farmlands have already been destroyed in order to build new subdivisions to accomodate the growing population. Advancements in technology have also eliminated the need for some of the farms. However,I believe agriculture will always be a source of pride for the South. There are several aspects of the South that I hope will never change. For one, I hope the style of Southern cooking will never change. I think Southern cooking is some of the best in the world. There is nothing like a good home-cooked meal with fried chicken and home grown vegetables. I also hope Southern hospitatlity will never change. Generally, I think people in the South tend to stick together and help others out. I hope people in the future will still take time out to be considerate and helpful to others. Personally, I love living in the South. I love the beautiful countryside in the South. I can not imagine living in any other region of the United States. I enjoy visiting other parts of the nation, but it always feels good to be back home in the South.
