I have noticed that southern music has changed a lot from the way it was sung fifty years ago. Back then, people would sing about how difficult life was, their religion, and about folk heroes. Now the subject of what a song is about could be anything, just like other catagories of music. Some people like Shania Twain get put into several catagories of music, not just country. I enjoy listening to Alabama and Randy Travis.
